TheMedical Coderis responsible forproviding medical coding support to assigned agencies.The scope of this job includesaccurateassignment of billing codes that are supported by documentation and compliant with all OASIS standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • MakeaccurateICD-10-CM code assignments.

  • Review OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) and assignaccuratecodes supported by the documentation.

  • Identifyviableprimary diagnosis and procedures as well as pertinent secondary diagnosis and procedures.

  • Adhere to coding compliance regulations and internal policies to ensureaccuratebilling for our client agencies.

  • Review, interpret, and recommenda planof care corrections as needed.

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma

  • 1-2 of Relevant Work Experience

  • Coding Certified (HCS-D or BCHH-C)

Preferred qualifications

  • OASIS experience

  • Hospice experience

  • Willing to workadditionalor irregular hours as needed

  • Must workin accordance withapplicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information

  • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
