About the Role

As a Security Guard Officer, you'll be the frontline of defense for our client locations across South Daytona and Volusia County. This is a hands-on security position where your vigilance, judgment, and quick response directly impact safety and loss prevention.

What You'll Do

• Conduct regular property patrols on foot or by vehicle to detect and deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment to identify potential threats in real time
• Inspect building entrances, exits, access points, and perimeter to ensure security integrity
• Control access by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and permitting authorized personnel
• Respond to alarms and emergencies by assessing situations and calling for appropriate assistance
• Document incidents, irregularities, and security concerns in detailed reports
• Educate property occupants and visitors about security policies and procedures
• Address policy violations professionally and enforce access restrictions to prevent trespass
• Protect client assets and prevent theft, vandalism, and property damage

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid security guard license preferred or ability to obtain one
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to patrol, stand for extended periods, and respond to emergencies
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Reliability and professional demeanor in all interactions
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict appropriately
• Familiarity with surveillance systems, access control, or alarm equipment is a plus
