About the Role
As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart, you'll be responsible for the upkeep and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure that keep our store functioning safely and efficiently. You'll work independently and collaboratively with our facilities team, responding to maintenance needs and performing both routine and emergency repairs across our location.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures, structural issues, and building damage
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems and facilities
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
- Assist with facility cleaning, landscaping, and grounds maintenance as needed
- Collaborate with third-party contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in general facilities maintenance or a related trade
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent safety practices and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
