- Respond to behavioral or safety incidents using de-escalation techniques and established protocols
- Coordinate handoffs between shifts through accurate documentation, log entries, and verbal briefings
- Enforce program policies consistently and with cultural humility, in line with SFCHC's person-centered values
- Collaborate with case managers, behavioral health staff, and community partners to support guest needs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards applicable to a Navigation Center setting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations when senior leadership is off-site

- Strong working knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles
- Demonstrated ability to de-escalate crisis situations calmly and effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation accuracy
- Cultural competency and lived or professional experience working with LGBTQ individuals, people experiencing homelessness, or those with substance use or mental health challenges
