About the Role

As a Building Maintenance Mechanic II-SED with Events DC, you will carry out and support a broad mix of building trades work across our Washington, D.C. facilities. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for a hands-on tradesperson who is comfortable moving between disciplines and keeping diverse building systems running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with a range of building trades tasks, including painting, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work.
• Operate mobile equipment and handle general building maintenance duties as assigned.
• Prepare and finish surfaces made of wood, brick, plaster, and metal ahead of repair or refinishing work.
• Maintain, service, and repair building systems such as sprinkler lines and drainage components.
• Support skilled trades staff with related upkeep and improvement projects throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Practical experience across multiple building trades, including painting, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• Ability to prepare and work with varied surface materials such as wood, brick, plaster, and metal.
• Familiarity with maintaining and repairing sprinkler and drainage systems.
• Competence operating mobile equipment safely.
• A reliable, detail-oriented approach to general building maintenance in a busy, on-site environment.
