About the Role
As a Sr Manager, Procurement/Sourcing at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Florence, Florence County, you will own the strategy behind how we buy, source, and partner with suppliers. This on-site role operates on a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule in an office environment, and places you at the center of decisions that keep our global operations efficient, reliable, and cost-effective. Your leadership will directly support our mission to help customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and execute procurement and sourcing strategies that strengthen supply continuity and value.
- Build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms that serve the business.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a procurement team to consistently meet performance goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and quality teams to align purchasing with broader objectives.
- Track spend, identify savings opportunities, and drive continuous improvement across the sourcing function.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership, ideally at a senior or managerial level.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders across an organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into sound purchasing decisions.
- Availability to work full-time, on-site in Florence, Florence County, on a standard weekday schedule.
