Canton Public School District is seeking a passionate Digital Media Technology Teacher to join the Canton Career Center for the 2026-2027 school year, guiding students through the creative and technical world of digital media production.
About the Role
This full-time, on-site teaching position is based at the Canton Career Center in the United States and is part of the district's Career Pathway in Digital Media Technology. As the Digital Media Technology Teacher, you will lead high school students through hands-on instruction in modern media tools and creative technologies, preparing them for further education and careers in the digital media field. The role is available beginning July 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in digital media technology to high school students.
- Develop and maintain a career-pathway curriculum that builds practical, industry-relevant skills.
- Create a supportive, well-managed classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track achievement throughout the school year.
- Guide and mentor students as they prepare for postsecondary education and careers in digital media.
Qualifications
- A valid Mississippi educator license with endorsement code 987.
- Knowledge of digital media technology concepts, tools, and instructional practices.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- A genuine commitment to student growth and career readiness.
