About the Role
As the Aquatics Coordinator at the Olive Branch YMCA, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of all aquatic activities, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-run environment for staff, members, guests, and program participants alike. This position directly advances the YMCA's mission of strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on supervision and oversight of all aquatic programming and pool activities.
- Safeguard the well-being of staff members, YMCA members, guests, and participants throughout every aquatic session.
- Lead, guide, and support the aquatics team to maintain consistent, high-quality service.
- Uphold facility standards, water safety protocols, and a culture of accountability.
- Champion the Y's commitment to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through the aquatics program.
Qualifications
- A genuine commitment to safety and to delivering a positive member experience.
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities to direct and motivate aquatic staff.
- Knowledge of aquatic operations, pool safety practices, and program management.
