What You'll Do

• Trim, portion, and prepare standard cuts of beef, pork, poultry, and other proteins to company specifications
• Operate and safely maintain meat department equipment, including band saws, grinders, and slicers
• Wrap, weigh, label, and price packaged meats accurately and efficiently
• Stock, rotate, and organize the meat case to ensure freshness and appealing presentation
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control requirements
• Assist customers with product selection, custom cut requests, and preparation suggestions
• Monitor inventory levels and flag replenishment needs to department leadership

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience as a meat cutter, butcher, or in a supermarket meat department
• Working knowledge of meat cuts, grades, and proper handling and storage techniques
• Proficiency operating commercial cutting and grinding equipment safely
• Familiarity with USDA food safety standards and sanitation best practices
• Strong attention to detail when portioning, packaging, and merchandising product
• Physical ability to work in a refrigerated environment and handle heavy items as needed
