Temp Account Director, Project Management

Monks is seeking a Temp Account Director, Project Management to join its Los Angeles, Los Angeles County team — a senior client-facing role that sits at the intersection of account leadership and operational delivery for one of the world's leading creative production and marketing services companies.

About the Role

As a Temp Account Director, Project Management at Monks in Los Angeles, you will serve as the primary strategic point of contact for key client accounts while owning end-to-end project execution. You will bridge client ambitions and internal production teams, ensuring complex, multi-workstream engagements are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest creative standard.

What You'll Do

• Lead day-to-day management of client accounts, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as their primary strategic partner
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource schedules across concurrent workstreams
• Coordinate cross-functional internal teams — including creative, production, strategy, and technology — to align deliverables with client objectives
• Monitor project scope, proactively identifying risks and driving resolution before they impact delivery
• Oversee budgets, track actuals against forecasts, and communicate financial status clearly to both clients and internal leadership
• Facilitate kickoffs, status meetings, and retrospectives, maintaining clear documentation and accountability throughout the project lifecycle
• Contribute to account growth by identifying opportunities to expand scope or deepen the client relationship

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in an account director or senior project management capacity within a creative agency, production company, or marketing services environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously without compromising quality or client satisfaction
• Strong command of project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of on-time, on-budget delivery
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with executive-level client presence
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly, and maintain composure in a fast-paced production environment
• Comfort working on-site in Los Angeles as part of a collaborative, in-person team
