Recruiting Specialist

Busey Bank is hiring a full-time Recruiting Specialist to join its talent acquisition team at our Leawood, Johnson County location. About the Role

As a Recruiting Specialist at Busey Bank in Leawood, you will own the full recruitment lifecycle — from building candidate pipelines to welcoming new hires through onboarding. You'll partner closely with hiring managers across the organization and serve as a trusted advisor on talent strategy, while also advancing the bank's commitment to diversity and inclusive hiring practices.

What You'll Do

• Execute end-to-end recruitment for open positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding
• Attract top talent through proactive outreach, job board management, and strategic candidate engagement
• Schedule and facilitate interviews, coordinating logistics between candidates and hiring teams
• Maintain accurate candidate records and manage workflow within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and deliver a strong slate of qualified candidates
• Support diversity recruitment initiatives and help build an inclusive talent pipeline
• Provide a professional, candidate-centered experience throughout the hiring process

What We're Looking For

• Experience in talent acquisition, HR coordination, or a related recruiting role
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and digital recruiting tools
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with both candidates and internal stakeholders
• Commitment to equitable, inclusive hiring practices
• Attention to detail in candidate documentation and compliance workflows
• Ability to work on-site in Leawood, Kansas — this is not a remote position
