Senior Analyst – SG&A FP&A

Vail Resorts is hiring a full-time Senior Analyst – SG&A FP&A to join its finance team in Wyoming, Wyoming County, supporting financial planning and analysis across selling, general, and administrative cost centers for one of the world's most celebrated resort companies.

About the Role

As a Senior Analyst on the SG&A FP&A team, you will be a key financial partner to corporate and operational business leaders, driving budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for SG&A functions across Vail Resorts' expansive network. This is an on-site position based in Wyoming, Wyoming County, embedded in a collaborative finance organization that values precision, insight, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead annual budget development and rolling forecast cycles for assigned SG&A cost centers, including HR, Legal, Marketing, and Technology functions
• Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses comparing actuals to plan and forecast, delivering clear narratives to senior leadership
• Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support scenario planning, headcount tracking, and strategic decision-making
• Partner cross-functionally with department heads to understand cost drivers and surface actionable savings opportunities
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities in coordination with accounting and corporate reporting teams
• Develop management reporting packages and executive presentations that translate complex financial data into strategic insight
• Identify and implement process improvements within FP&A workflows and planning tools
• Handle ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as directed by FP&A leadership

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience, ideally with SG&A or overhead cost center exposure
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with enterprise planning tools (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize large datasets into clear, executive-ready takeaways
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Experience in hospitality, travel, or consumer-facing industries is a plus
