Magnera

Magnera is hiring a full-time Maintenance Planner II (Electrical) at its facility in Lakewood, Davidson County — a hands-on planning role central to keeping complex industrial electrical systems running at peak reliability.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Planner II (Electrical), you will own the planning and scheduling function for electrical maintenance work across the Lakewood site. You'll translate technician requests and equipment data into well-organized work orders that reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement in asset reliability. This position sits at the intersection of electrical expertise and operational coordination, making it critical to plant performance.

What You'll Do

  • Develop detailed job plans for preventive, corrective, and predictive electrical maintenance — specifying labor hours, materials, tools, and sequencing required to execute work safely and efficiently
  • Prioritize and schedule work orders through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), balancing equipment criticality against production demands
  • Coordinate with maintenance supervisors, electricians, and operations teams to align schedules and minimize unplanned production interruptions
  • Source, requisition, and manage spare parts and MRO materials, ensuring the right components are on hand before work begins
  • Review and maintain electrical schematics, one-lines, and technical documentation to support accurate job planning
  • Track key maintenance metrics — schedule compliance, backlog hours, work order completion — and surface trends to leadership
  • Participate in root cause analysis for recurring electrical failures and incorporate findings into updated PM procedures
  • Partner with reliability and engineering teams on capital projects and equipment modifications

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a closely related discipline — or equivalent hands-on experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated background in industrial electrical maintenance, including experience with motors, variable frequency drives, PLCs, control panels, and distribution systems
  • Proficiency with a CMMS platform (SAP PM, Maximo, or similar) for work order creation and scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and P&IDs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
  • Collaborative communicator who can work effectively across maintenance, operations, and procurement functions
  • Familiarity with OSHA electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
