Rose Hill USD 394 is hiring a full-time Assistant Girls Soccer Coach to join the athletics program at USD 394 High School in Rose Hill, Kansas, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026.
About the Role
This is an on-site coaching position within the USD 394 Athletics and Activities department. The Assistant Girls Soccer Coach works alongside the head coach to develop student-athletes through skills instruction, tactical preparation, and physical conditioning — while modeling the character and conduct expected of a USD 394 representative.
What You'll Do
- Teach fundamental soccer techniques including passing, dribbling, shooting, positioning, and defensive principles
- Support the design and execution of practice plans that develop both individual skill and team cohesion
- Assist in game-day preparation, scouting, and in-game adjustments
- Monitor and guide athlete conditioning, safety, and physical development throughout the season
- Foster a positive, competitive team culture grounded in sportsmanship and personal accountability
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and activities staff
- Comply with all KSHSAA regulations and district policies governing athletics
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated knowledge of girls soccer at the high school or competitive youth level
- Ability to instruct athletes of varying skill levels with patience and clarity
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student-athlete development on and off the field
- Experience playing or coaching soccer preferred
- Valid Kansas teaching license or ability to obtain appropriate coaching authorization
- Ability to pass required background checks per district and state requirements
