About the Role

As a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager at Verdantas, you will lead complex subsurface investigations and geotechnical engineering projects across high-demand sectors including civil infrastructure, resilient land development, water resources, and energy transition. You will serve as a technical authority, a trusted client partner, and a mentor to emerging engineers — bringing projects from scoping through final deliverable with rigor and precision.

What You'll Do

  • Direct geotechnical site investigations, including subsurface exploration programs, laboratory testing coordination, and data interpretation
  • Produce and review engineering reports covering foundation recommendations, slope stability, retaining systems, earthwork, and settlement analysis
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining quality and client satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to expand services
  • Apply advanced geotechnical modeling and digital tools to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and environmental engineers on integrated project delivery
  • Support business development efforts through proposals, presentations, and technical thought leadership
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level geotechnical staff

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; licensure in Massachusetts or ability to obtain reciprocity preferred
  • 8 or more years of progressively responsible geotechnical engineering experience, including project management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead field investigations, interpret subsurface conditions, and translate findings into actionable engineering recommendations
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client deliverables simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of producing clear, defensible technical reports
  • Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software and familiarity with modern modeling and digital workflows
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across practice areas and project teams
