Senior IT Engineer – Radiology PACS Systems

Insight Global is hiring a Senior IT Engineer – Radiology PACS Systems to join their team in Tampa, Hillsborough County, supporting enterprise-level medical imaging deployments across hospital networks and outpatient imaging centers.

About the Role

In this full-time position, you will own the end-to-end technical lifecycle of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) deployments for Insight Global's healthcare clients. You'll work hands-on with server infrastructure, imaging platform configuration, and cross-system integration to keep radiology workflows running at clinical-grade reliability.

What You'll Do

• Deploy, configure, and validate PACS platforms within client server environments at hospitals and imaging centers
• Integrate PACS solutions with Radiology Information Systems (RIS), EMR/EHR platforms, and modality worklists via DICOM and HL7 standards
• Perform server builds, storage provisioning, and network configuration tailored to high-volume medical imaging workloads
• Troubleshoot complex PACS connectivity, performance, and workflow issues in time-sensitive clinical settings
• Coordinate with radiologists, clinical IT staff, and vendor support teams to ensure smooth go-lives and post-deployment stability
• Document system configurations, integration specs, and support procedures to maintain institutional knowledge
• Apply software updates, patches, and security hardening in compliance with healthcare IT standards

What We're Looking For

• Proven hands-on experience deploying and administering enterprise PACS platforms (e.g., Sectra, Intelerad, Fujifilm, Philips, or similar)
• Strong working knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and medical imaging interoperability standards
• Solid background in Windows Server administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and SAN/NAS storage
• Experience integrating healthcare IT systems across diverse hospital and ambulatory imaging environments
• Familiarity with HIPAA technical safeguards and healthcare network security requirements
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both clinical stakeholders and IT teams
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent client engagements and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience preferred
