Quality Assurance Manager – TS/SCI with Polygraph

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Manager at GDIT's Savage, MD site, you'll own the quality strategy across complex software engineering efforts serving the intelligence community. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires a current Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph and US citizenship before your first day — there is no pathway to obtain the clearance after hiring. If you bring deep QA leadership experience and a data-driven mindset, this role puts you at the center of programs that directly support national security missions.

What You'll Do

• Design and enforce quality assurance processes across the full software development lifecycle
• Define, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics that give program leadership real visibility into delivery health
• Apply structured performance measurement methodologies to identify trends, forecast risk, and drive corrective action
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, program managers, and government stakeholders to build quality in from the start — not bolt it on at the end
• Lead root-cause analysis efforts and own process improvement initiatives through to closure
• Ensure all deliverables satisfy contractual obligations, technical standards, and mission-critical requirements
• Coach and develop team members on QA discipline, elevating quality culture across the program

What We're Looking For

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph — mandatory at time of application
• US citizenship — required
• 6 or more years of experience in quality assurance, software engineering, or a closely related field
• Hands-on expertise building KPI frameworks, developing performance metrics, and conducting meaningful performance measurement analysis
• Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and influence quality outcomes without relying solely on direct authority
• Background supporting Department of Defense or intelligence community programs strongly preferred
• Familiarity with software quality standards and process improvement models such as CMMI or ISO is a plus
