Maintenance Worker

Hudson Guild is hiring a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Worker to keep our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming across the Chelsea and Clinton neighborhoods of Manhattan. If you take pride in upkeep and repair work in a busy community setting, this full-time role is for you.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Maintenance Worker plays a central part in maintaining the buildings, equipment, and grounds that support Hudson Guild's programs. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Chelsea and Clinton, Manhattan, ideal for someone who is reliable, practical, and comfortable working in a high-traffic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine upkeep, repairs, and general maintenance across all Hudson Guild facilities and grounds.
• Service and troubleshoot building equipment to keep it operating safely and efficiently.
• Respond to maintenance needs promptly to minimize disruption to daily programs and activities.
• Help maintain clean, orderly, and safe indoor and outdoor spaces for staff, members, and visitors.
• Coordinate tasks under the direction of the Operations Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance worker or in a comparable role, ideally within a high-traffic or community-based setting.
• A positive, cooperative attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to handle physical, hands-on tasks and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
