About the Role

As a Diesel Mechanic in Park Terrace, Broome County, you will diagnose, service, and repair diesel-powered trucks and trailers in a busy maintenance environment. This is a full-time, on-site position offering weekly pay, an hourly rate of $25.00, and clear opportunities to advance through certification. The role is not remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and related vehicle systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults to keep the fleet running efficiently.
• Complete inspections and document work accurately to meet safety and compliance standards.
• Use diagnostic equipment and shop tools to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize vehicle downtime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a diesel technician or mechanic, ideally at a mid level.
• Working knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and use modern diagnostic tools.
• ASE certifications welcomed — Ryder offers a $100 bonus for each new ASE certification earned, up to $700.
