About the Role

As a Locate Technician based in Oklahoma City, you will be on the front line of damage prevention, marking the location of underground utilities and private lines so that digging and construction can proceed safely. Key Responsibilities

• Use electronic locating equipment to detect and mark underground utility and private lines.
• Interpret maps, GIS data, and locate tickets to determine the position of buried infrastructure.
• Document findings accurately and communicate clearly with excavators, contractors, and clients.
• Respond to locate requests in a timely manner across assigned service areas.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize the risk of damage during excavation activities.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret maps and utility records.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Prior utility locating experience is a plus, though training may be provided for the right candidate.
