Project Manager 1, Mission Critical

J.E. Dunn Construction Company is hiring a Project Manager 1, Mission Critical in Benson, Douglas County to help deliver some of the region's most demanding mission critical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

About the Role

As a Project Manager 1, Mission Critical at J.E. Dunn Construction Company, you will guide complex builds — such as data centers and other high-availability facilities — that require precision, accountability, and disciplined coordination. Based in Benson, Douglas County, this full-time, on-site position places you at the center of project planning, execution, and team leadership, with the support of innovative tools and a culture built on strong people.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of mission critical construction projects, keeping scope, schedule, and budget aligned.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to maintain steady progress and quality standards.
• Oversee project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and cost tracking.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, design partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify risks early and drive proactive solutions to keep work on track and safe.
• Support preconstruction planning and contribute to a smooth handover at project completion.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supporting construction projects, ideally within mission critical or commercial environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities across diverse project teams.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
• Comfort using modern project management technology and reporting tools.
• Willingness to work full-time and on-site in Benson, Douglas County (this role is not remote).
