About the Role

As a Motion Graphic Artist at the University of Oklahoma, you will conceive and produce animated assets that elevate the institution's visual storytelling. This on-site position in Norman blends creative artistry with technical craft, giving you the opportunity to design characters, environments, and motion sequences from concept through final render. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional weekend work and travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and animate graphic assets, including illustrated characters and environment elements
  • Develop original motion content that supports the university's communications and branding goals
  • Edit, refine, and render finished animations to a high professional standard
  • Collaborate with creative team members to translate ideas into polished visual deliverables
  • Manage projects efficiently while balancing creative quality with production timelines

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skill in motion graphics, animation, and illustration
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design, animation, and rendering software
  • A strong portfolio showcasing character work, environment design, and motion sequences
  • Attention to detail across editing, compositing, and final output
  • Ability to work on-site in Norman and accommodate occasional weekend hours or travel

Compensation

This benefits-eligible position offers an annual pay range of $38,700 to $50,300, determined by experience.
