The University System of New Hampshire is seeking part-time Adjunct Faculty members in Electrical Engineering Technology to join the College of Professional Studies at UNH Manchester, bringing hands-on expertise into undergraduate classrooms and laboratory settings starting in the fall semester.
About the Role
This part-time teaching appointment supports the Electrical Engineering Technology program at UNH Manchester, where adjunct instructors deliver theory-grounded, skills-focused instruction to undergraduate students. Faculty teach both lecture sections and accompanying labs, helping students build competency across core EET disciplines.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate Electrical Engineering Technology courses and laboratory sessions, including AC/DC circuit analysis, analog circuits, digital circuits, electronic devices, and microprocessor technology
- Design and facilitate engaging lab exercises that reinforce lecture concepts through direct, hands-on application
- Assess student performance through assignments, lab reports, exams, and practical evaluations aligned with course learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate grade records and communicate progress to students in a timely manner
- Hold regular office hours or virtual availability to support student learning outside of scheduled class time
- Collaborate with program coordinators to ensure curriculum consistency and alignment with accreditation standards
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field; a master's degree is preferred
- Demonstrated professional or academic experience in areas such as circuit analysis, analog and digital electronics, or embedded/microprocessor systems
- Prior college-level teaching experience is a plus, though candidates with strong industry backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible instruction for undergraduate learners
- Strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to student success
- Familiarity with standard EET lab equipment and safety practices
