Shift Manager

Fresh Dining Concepts is hiring a part-time Shift Manager to join its growing team in Schaumburg, Cook County — one of the many US locations operated by this leading franchisee of ToGo Foods brands including Auntie Anne's, Carvel, Cinnabon, and Jamba Juice.

About the Role

As a Shift Manager at Fresh Dining Concepts, you serve as the on-site leader whenever the General Manager or Assistant Manager is unavailable or delegates authority to you. You'll keep daily store operations running smoothly, hold team members accountable to brand standards, and deliver the guest experience that keeps customers coming back.

What You'll Do

• Lead the store floor during assigned shifts, acting as the primary point of contact for crew members and guests
• Open and/or close the location following established procedures, including cash handling and security protocols
• Monitor food quality, preparation standards, and cleanliness to meet franchise and health-code requirements
• Coach team members in real time, providing direction and constructive feedback to keep service moving
• Respond to guest concerns professionally and resolve issues in a way that upholds the brand's reputation
• Track inventory levels during the shift and communicate supply needs to management
• Complete shift documentation, logs, and reports accurately for management review

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in a quick-service, fast-casual, or food-service environment — supervisory experience is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team in a fast-paced setting
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with both opening and closing responsibilities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic cash-handling accuracy and comfort with point-of-sale systems
• Food safety awareness; a valid food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain one) is beneficial
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a kitchen environment
