Engineering Supervisor

Marriott is hiring a full-time Engineering Supervisor to lead facilities and maintenance operations at its downtown Nashville, Tennessee property — located in the heart of Davidson County at 170 4th Ave N.

About the Role

As an Engineering Supervisor with Marriott Nashville, you'll keep a landmark hotel running at its best by directing day-to-day building operations and guiding a skilled maintenance team. This is a hands-on, non-management-track position that blends technical expertise with team leadership, offering a pay rate of $26.00–$27.00 per hour.

What You'll Do

• Install, inspect, and maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment throughout the property.
• Oversee a team of engineering technicians, assigning work orders and providing on-the-spot technical guidance.
• Execute and document a proactive preventive maintenance schedule to minimize guest-facing disruptions.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate timely repairs — escalating to contractors when required.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to identify and resolve maintenance needs.
• Ensure full compliance with local Nashville building codes, OSHA regulations, and Marriott safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and equipment service history.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations across the property at any hour when needed.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in building maintenance, facilities engineering, or a closely related trade field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial or hospitality setting.
• Prior supervisory or lead technician experience preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to prioritize competing work orders under pressure.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational or trade certification is a plus.
• Reliable communication skills and a service-first mindset aligned with a luxury hotel environment.
