Cargill
Cargill is hiring a full-time Maintenance Planner at its Seven Springs, Pasco County facility — a critical role within one of the world's leading food and agricultural companies, where your organizational expertise will keep production running safely and efficiently.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Planner at Cargill's Seven Springs location, you will serve as the operational backbone of the site's maintenance program. You'll bridge the gap between maintenance technicians and plant operations, ensuring that every work order — from routine preventive tasks to urgent corrective repairs — is scoped, resourced, and scheduled for maximum uptime and safety compliance.
What You'll Do
- Create, prioritize, and manage maintenance work orders within the site's CMMS platform, ensuring accurate job scoping and parts pre-staging
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules across plant equipment and systems
- Coordinate with operations supervisors and maintenance leads to schedule work that minimizes production disruption
- Manage spare parts inventories — tracking stock levels, initiating procurement, and aligning with the storeroom to reduce lead times
- Build and maintain detailed equipment histories and failure analysis records to support reliability improvement initiatives
- Plan and coordinate contractor activities, ensuring compliance with Cargill safety and vendor management requirements
- Participate in shutdown and turnaround planning, including resource forecasting and critical-path scheduling
- Generate maintenance performance reports and KPIs to support continuous improvement efforts at the Seven Springs site
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of maintenance planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or industrial environment
- Proficiency with a CMMS platform (SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and process systems common to production facilities
- Strong ability to prioritize competing work requests while communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Solid understanding of preventive maintenance principles and reliability-centered maintenance concepts
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline — or equivalent hands-on experience
- Commitment to safety-first practices in every aspect of planning and execution
