Processing Maintenance

About the Role

As a Processing Maintenance team member, you will serve as a front-line resource for the mechanical integrity of the processing plant. You will keep equipment, systems, and physical infrastructure in safe, reliable working order — supporting uninterrupted production through proactive upkeep and prompt, effective repairs.

What You'll Do

• Carry out scheduled and preventive maintenance on processing plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime
• Inspect machinery, conveyors, and ancillary farm equipment on a routine basis, identifying wear or developing faults before they escalate
• Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues and perform or assist with repairs to restore equipment to full operation
• Document maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status in accordance with facility recordkeeping practices
• Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and the maintenance work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition
• Collaborate with production and farm staff to coordinate maintenance windows and minimize operational disruption
• Follow all workplace safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, when servicing live equipment

What We're Looking For

• Practical experience in an industrial, agricultural, or food processing maintenance environment
• Solid mechanical aptitude — comfortable working with motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general plant machinery
• Ability to read basic schematics, wiring diagrams, or equipment manuals to guide repair work
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and the discipline to follow a structured PM schedule
• Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to work independently when the situation demands it
• Physical capability to lift, bend, and work in varied conditions typical of a live production environment
• Reliable attendance and a safety-first mindset
