About the Role

As a Fiberglass Technician with Labor Finders in Lagrange, you'll work directly in fiberglass fabrication and composites production, translating design documents into finished parts and structures. This full-time position is ideal for a detail-oriented tradesperson who takes pride in precise layup work and quality composite construction.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications to determine material requirements and production dimensions
• Measure, mark, and cut fiberglass cloth, mat, and reinforcement materials to size based on engineering specifications
• Blend resins and catalysts (hardeners) in correct ratios to produce laminating compounds appropriate for each mold or substrate
• Apply successive fiberglass layers onto molds using hand lay-up techniques, ensuring consistent saturation and proper adhesion throughout
• Use hand brushes and spray equipment (air guns) to work out air pockets, smooth surface profiles, and achieve uniform coat thickness
• Inspect finished components for defects, voids, or dimensional inconsistencies and perform any necessary repairs or surface corrections
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle resins and solvents in compliance with safety guidelines

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in fiberglass fabrication, composites lay-up, or a closely related skilled trades role
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, shop drawings, or technical specification sheets
• Hands-on familiarity with resin mixing, catalyst ratios, and cure-time considerations
• Comfortable operating spray equipment and hand tools used in fiberglass application and finishing
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing parts that meet dimensional and cosmetic standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely around chemical compounds in a production environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent full-time attendance
