Tyson is hiring a full-time Utility Operator (PR05) at its Newbern, Dyer County facility — a hands-on production floor role offering $23.65 per hour and a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with occasional Saturday shifts.

About the Role

As a Utility Operator at Tyson's Newbern plant, you'll be a versatile, essential member of the production team. This position is built for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly from the moment the shift begins — and who is motivated to build expertise across every function in the department.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and configure production equipment ahead of each startup to ensure the line is ready for efficient, safe operation
• Learn and demonstrate proficiency across all positions within the department, serving as a reliable fill-in wherever coverage is needed
• Uphold Tyson's food safety standards, workplace safety protocols, and all applicable company policies throughout every shift
• Navigate computer-based systems and software programs used in day-to-day production and reporting tasks
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates to support production goals and address any equipment or operational issues promptly

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule with availability for occasional Saturday shifts
• Comfort with computer-based programs and willingness to learn facility-specific software platforms
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following food safety and workplace safety guidelines consistently
• Adaptability and eagerness to cross-train across multiple roles within the department
• Reliability, a team-first mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Prior experience in food manufacturing, production, or a utility/multi-role capacity is a plus

• Pay: $23.65 per hour
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, with possible Saturdays
