Superintendent – Construction

Gpac is partnering with a decorated, high-output commercial general contractor to place a full-time Superintendent based in Springfield, Greene County — a field leader ready to own ground-up commercial construction projects from first mobilization through final closeout.

About the Role

This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership position built for a Superintendent who thrives in the field, not behind a desk. You'll carry full accountability for day-to-day site operations on ground-up commercial projects, driving execution with precision and keeping every moving part aligned from preconstruction handoff to punch-list completion. The contractor you'll join has a strong track record of delivering complex work on time and has earned recognition for operational excellence across their portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Direct and coordinate all subcontractors and self-perform crews across concurrent scopes of work on commercial ground-up projects
• Own the project schedule — identify threats early, implement recovery plans, and protect milestone dates
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors
• Enforce quality standards and ensure work-in-place meets plans, specs, and applicable codes
• Lead daily site safety oversight and maintain a compliant, incident-free jobsite environment
• Resolve field conflicts, RFI-related work, and unforeseen conditions efficiently without derailing progress
• Manage material deliveries, equipment logistics, and site access to keep production moving
• Maintain accurate daily reports, document site conditions, and communicate proactively with the project management team
• Drive jobsite closeout — punch-list execution, inspections, and turnover — on schedule

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects, with demonstrated success leading ground-up builds
• Deep working knowledge of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and schedule management
• Strong command of safety regulations and jobsite compliance standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• A decisive, solutions-oriented mindset — you resolve problems in the field without waiting for escalation
• Effective communicator with subcontractors, owners, and internal teams at every level
• Reliable presence: this is a full-time, on-site role in the Springfield, Greene County area
