Insurance Loss Control Surveyor

Davies Risk Services is seeking part-time Insurance Loss Control Surveyors to conduct insurance property surveys across residential and commercial sites in and around Walkerton, King and Queen County, Virginia.

About the Role

As an independent contractor with Davies Risk Services, you will carry out on-site insurance loss control surveys that help insurers accurately assess and price risk. This part-time opportunity offers flexibility while giving you meaningful fieldwork across a variety of property types in King and Queen County and the surrounding region.

What You'll Do

• Travel to residential and commercial properties in your assigned territory to complete insurance property surveys
• Photograph exterior and interior property conditions in accordance with carrier guidelines
• Gather and document accurate property details including construction type, age, occupancy, and overall physical condition
• Identify and record potential loss exposures or hazards observable during the site visit
• Submit completed survey reports and supporting photos within required turnaround times

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work independently and manage a field schedule without direct supervision
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout King and Queen County and nearby areas
• Strong attention to detail when capturing property data and photographic documentation
• Comfort navigating both residential neighborhoods and commercial properties
• Basic computer skills for uploading photos and submitting digital survey reports
• Prior experience in insurance, property inspection, construction, or a related field is a plus but not required
