Dekker is hiring a full-time Senior Construction Administration Coordinator to join its Education Studio in Alameda, Bernalillo County — a senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned CA professional ready to mentor a team and raise the bar on construction phase delivery across the studio.
About the Role
In this position, you will sit at the center of Dekker's Education Studio construction administration operation — directing a team of Construction Administration Coordinators, partnering closely with project architects and engineers during active construction, and owning the studio-wide processes that keep every project on track from mobilization through closeout.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to Construction Administration Coordinators, setting clear expectations and supporting their professional growth
- Serve as a hands-on resource for multiple project teams throughout the construction phase, resolving issues before they escalate
- Manage the full lifecycle of RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation with accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct regular site observations and produce field reports that document progress and flag non-conformances
- Coordinate clearly and consistently across contractors, consultants, clients, and internal design teams
- Lead punch list development and project closeout procedures to deliver complete, contract-compliant projects
- Develop, document, and continually improve CA workflows, templates, and quality standards across the Education Studio
- Review shop drawings and product data for compliance with contract documents and design intent
What We're Looking For
- Significant construction administration experience within an architecture, engineering, or design firm
- Proven ability to lead, supervise, or mentor CA staff in a studio or team environment
- Strong command of construction documents, project specifications, and delivery methods
- Hands-on experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-disciplinary coordination
- Background in education, civic, or institutional project types preferred
- Proficiency with construction management and document control platforms
- A detail-oriented mindset paired with a commitment to consistent, high-quality process execution
