CDL A Tanker Driver

Heniff Transportation is actively hiring full-time CDL A Tanker Drivers — including Owner Operators — to support chemical hauling operations running out of the Louisville, KY area, based in Muldraugh, Meade County.

About the Role

This is a steady, high-demand position moving hazmat ISO tanks for Heniff Transportation, one of the nation's largest liquid bulk chemical carriers. With 8–10 driver openings to fill immediately, qualified candidates can expect consistent freight and a predictable work schedule that gets you home most nights.

What You'll Do

• Operate a tractor-trailer hauling hazmat ISO tanks on chemical freight lanes out of Louisville, KY
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Follow all DOT hazardous materials transportation requirements and safety protocols
• Accurately complete shipping documents, manifests, and driver logs (electronic or paper)
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and any safety concerns
• Maintain clean equipment and report mechanical issues promptly

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL — required
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements — both required
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable chemical tanker driving experience — required
• Clean motor vehicle record and a demonstrated history of safe, professional driving
• Working knowledge of hazmat handling procedures and emergency response guidelines
• Ability to operate in a terminal-based environment out of the Louisville, KY metro area
• Owner Operators with their own equipment are also encouraged to apply
