About the Role

As a CDL Class A Shuttle Driver with Performance Food Group, you'll be the driving force behind on-time, safe trailer movements between distribution centers and customer delivery points. This is an on-site position based in Minerva Park, Ohio, where precision, safety awareness, and reliability are essential every shift.

What You'll Do

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to shuttle freight between distribution facilities and customer sites within the Franklin County area and surrounding region
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
• Accurately complete and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) driver logs and all required documentation
• Hook and unhook trailers, spot equipment in yard and dock environments, and maneuver confidently in tight spaces
• Verify that freight is secured properly before each move to protect product integrity throughout transit
• Adhere to all food safety protocols applicable to a foodservice distribution environment
• Communicate proactively with dispatch and warehouse teams to support smooth, efficient operations
• Identify and report any vehicle defects, safety concerns, or delays promptly

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL Class A commercial driver's license with a clean driving record
• Demonstrated experience operating tractor-trailers, including yard spotting and dock maneuvering
• Working knowledge of DOT hours-of-service rules and electronic logging device (ELD) requirements
• Commitment to safety-first practices on every run, regardless of time pressure
• Ability to work independently while staying coordinated with a team-oriented distribution operation
• Physical capability to perform coupling and uncoupling procedures and climb in and out of cab regularly
• Reliability and punctuality — shuttle operations depend on drivers who show up and execute consistently
