Sales Development Representative

About the Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you'll be the first point of contact between Actalent and the engineering, sciences, and corporate organizations that rely on us to find exceptional talent. You'll build a pipeline of prospective client relationships, connect hiring leaders with the workforce solutions they need, and play a direct role in placing skilled professionals in roles that matter. This is a relationship-first sales role with a clear growth path for top performers.

What You'll Do

• Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, and professional networking to identify and engage potential client accounts across engineering, life sciences, and corporate sectors
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads by understanding business hiring needs and decision-maker priorities
• Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings between prospects and senior account managers
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activity, pipeline progress, and client interactions in CRM systems
• Collaborate closely with recruiting and account teams to ensure smooth handoffs and a consistent client experience
• Develop working knowledge of Actalent's talent solutions and the Aston Carter brand to articulate value clearly to different client segments
• Meet and exceed weekly activity targets and monthly pipeline contribution goals

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; no prior sales experience required — we train driven candidates from the ground up
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to initiate conversations with new contacts
• A competitive, goal-oriented mindset and genuine curiosity about people and business challenges
• Ability to manage multiple outreach threads simultaneously and stay organized under volume
• Comfort with rejection and a growth mindset that turns feedback into improvement
• Proficiency with standard business tools; experience with a CRM platform is a plus
• Availability to work on-site at our Plymouth Valley, Montgomery County office full time
