About the Role
As After School Program Staff at Bentley School, you'll support a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for students in our K-8 after school program. This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the After School Director and the K-8 Director. The regular schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm and Friday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage students during scheduled after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Lead and assist with age-appropriate activities, games, and enrichment opportunities for K-8 learners.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, cooperation, and respect.
- Coordinate with the After School Director and fellow staff to keep the program running smoothly.
- Communicate respectfully with students, families, and colleagues as part of the school community.
Qualifications
- Genuine enjoyment of working with elementary and middle school-aged children.
- Dependability and the ability to commit to the regular weekday afternoon schedule.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with patience and attentiveness.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support program activities and supervision.
