About the Role

As an Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) based in Kent, WA, you'll be responsible for the careful handling, sorting, packaging, and inspection of chemical waste. Every task is performed in line with federal, state, and local regulations as well as CleanHarbors' internal policies and procedures, ensuring both safety and compliance at every step. Please note that all new team members complete a two-week Academy training program held out of state. This training is fully paid, and the company covers related expenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely handle a range of chemical waste materials in field and facility settings
• Segregate and categorize waste streams according to compatibility and regulatory requirements
• Pack chemical waste for transport using approved methods and containers
• Inspect packaged materials to confirm accuracy, labeling, and compliance
• Follow all federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Adhere to CleanHarbors company policies and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

• Willingness to complete a fully paid, two-week out-of-state Academy training program
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to follow detailed regulatory and procedural guidelines
