About the Role

As a PRN Community-based Counselor with Youth Villages, you will deliver in-home and community-based counseling to youth and their families throughout Jackson and the surrounding Madison County area. Working within proven, research-driven treatment models, you'll partner with families to address behavioral and emotional challenges, build resilience, and keep children safely connected to the people who care about them most.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct counseling and clinical support to children, young people, and families in home and community settings.
• Apply Youth Villages' research-based treatment approaches to guide families toward stable, lasting outcomes.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized care plans in collaboration with each family.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress records.
• Coordinate with supervisors, treatment teams, and community resources to support each youth's goals.

Qualifications

• Commitment to the mission of preserving and restoring families.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexibly within a community-based, PRN (as-needed) schedule.
• Willingness to travel to family homes and locations across Jackson and Madison County.
• A background or interest in children's mental and behavioral health is highly valued.
