About the Role

As a Contract Specialist based in Topeka, Shawnee County, you will play a key part in supporting the negotiation, preparation, and administration of contracts and subcontracts. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, compliance, and timely coordination with government agencies and prime contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the analysis, negotiation, and ongoing administration of contracts and subcontracts.
• Research and examine specifications and supporting documentation to move requests through the procurement process.
• Deliver prompt, accurate responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) issued by government entities and prime contractors.
• Compile and obtain the required documents and forms, including representations and certifications, executive compensation disclosures, certificates of insurance (COI), and W9 forms.
• Draft related correspondence and review incoming solicitations for completeness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret specifications and contractual documentation.
• Familiarity with government contracting processes, RFP responses, and standard procurement forms is highly valued.
• Excellent written communication skills for preparing forms and professional correspondence.
• Ability to manage deadlines and respond to time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, collaborative approach to working with internal teams, government clients, and prime contractors.
