About the Role
As an Offshore Structural Welder, you will fabricate, repair, and reinforce critical structural components for offshore and marine projects. This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, supporting operations throughout the Gulf of Mexico. The work demands precision, strong safety awareness, and proven welding craftsmanship in demanding offshore conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural welding on offshore platforms, marine equipment, and support structures according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings to complete fabrication and repair tasks.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, integrity, and compliance with applicable industry and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain welding tools and equipment safely in offshore and marine environments.
- Coordinate with crew members and supervisors to keep projects on schedule and aligned with operator requirements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience working specifically as an Offshore Structural Welder is required.
- Demonstrated ability to produce sound structural welds in offshore or marine settings.
- Solid understanding of offshore safety practices and protocols.
- Availability for full-time work and travel to job sites across the Gulf of Mexico region.
