About the Role

As an EHS Specialist (also known internally as a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist) based in Arlington Heights, Cook County, you will be a hands-on driver of environmental, health, and safety excellence. Working on-site, you will partner with operations teams to embed safe practices into everyday work and support Amazon's ambition to set the standard for safety across every industry we touch.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and strengthen a proactive workplace safety culture across the site.
• Support compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards and regulations.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend practical, effective improvements.
• Collaborate with associates, managers, and operations leaders to put safe processes into practice.
• Help guide site teams toward continuous improvement in health and safety performance.

Qualifications

• Background or demonstrable interest in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to keeping people safe at work.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for engaging teams at every level.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Arlington Heights, Cook County.
