Maintenance Associate

Twin Oaks West Apartments is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Associate to keep our Joliet, Will County residential community running smoothly. If you take pride in solving practical problems and delivering quality repairs, this full-time role is built for you.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Associate at Twin Oaks West Apartments in Joliet, you will be the go-to professional for keeping apartment homes safe, comfortable, and fully functional. Working on-site (this is not a remote position), you'll respond to resident service requests, prepare vacant units for new tenants, and handle the everyday upkeep that keeps the property in excellent shape.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete incoming work orders and address general maintenance issues across the community in a timely manner.
• Install ceiling fans and, on occasion, lay or repair flooring.
• Turn over vacant apartments by diagnosing and fixing issues so units are move-in ready.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common plumbing concerns.
• Perform basic electrical repairs and service window or wall air-conditioning units.
• Safely lift and transport heavy items such as flooring materials, appliances, and A/C equipment.
• Clear snow from walkways and handle seasonal property tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of general apartment and building maintenance.
• Familiarity with basic electrical systems, plumbing, and air-conditioning units.
• Comfort with hands-on tasks, including flooring and ceiling fan installation.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects throughout the workday.
• Reliability and a willingness to assist with snow removal and other duties that arise.
