Tallgrass is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer in Houston, Harris County, to lend deep electrical engineering expertise to the energy infrastructure shaping a lower-carbon future. About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer at Tallgrass, you will serve as the technical authority on electrical systems across a portfolio of pipeline and clean energy initiatives. Day to day, you will help plan, design, implement, and support the electrical backbone for projects that include Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) facilities, large-scale pipeline builds and expansions, and power generation assets. It is a hands-on, subject-matter-expert position based in Houston, ideal for an engineer who enjoys translating complex technical requirements into reliable, real-world systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the electrical engineering subject matter expert for pipeline and clean energy projects.
• Plan and design electrical systems supporting Carbon Capture and Sequestration facilities, power generation, and pipeline infrastructure.
• Guide the implementation of electrical designs throughout each project's lifecycle.
• Provide ongoing engineering support for large pipeline projects and expansion programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to keep electrical systems safe, compliant, and dependable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated electrical engineering experience, ideally within energy, pipeline, or power generation environments.
• Working knowledge of electrical system design for industrial or energy infrastructure facilities.
• Ability to apply specialized electrical expertise across the full project cycle, from concept through ongoing support.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working alongside multidisciplinary teams.
• Availability to work on-site, full-time in Houston, Harris County (this role is not remote).
