Key Responsibilities
- Conduct metallurgical testing across all complexity levels with consistent accuracy and care.
- Read and interpret industry specifications, including raw material certifications, heat treatment requirements, and coating standards.
- Perform hydrogen testing and grain size evaluation as part of routine lab analysis.
- Maintain reliable test records and support quality assurance throughout the 2nd shift.
- Work independently and make sound judgment calls with limited supervision.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a metallurgical or materials testing environment.
- Demonstrated, advanced ability to interpret technical specifications such as certifications, heat treat, and coating requirements.
- Working familiarity with hydrogen and grain size testing methods.
- Capable of operating effectively with minimal direction.
- Availability to work the 2nd shift schedule (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM) on-site in Gardena.
