ConGlobal is seeking a motivated Container/Chassis Mechanic Apprentice to join our trailer and shop repair team in Briargrove, Houston, supporting the equipment that keeps global supply chains moving. This full-time apprenticeship is an immediate-hire opportunity for hands-on workers ready to build a long-term mechanical trade career.
About the Role
As a Container/Chassis Mechanic Apprentice with ConGlobal in Houston, you'll learn the craft of intermodal equipment maintenance from experienced technicians. Working a steady Monday-through-Friday schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, you'll develop the skills needed to inspect, service, and restore chassis, containers, and trailers to safe operating condition within our shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with trailer, chassis, and container repairs in the shop
- Inspect intermodal equipment to identify mechanical, structural, and safety defects
- Perform preventive maintenance and component replacement under supervision
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly
- Document completed work and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Follow all company safety procedures and supply-chain operating standards
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in learning mechanical repair as an apprentice
- Willingness to work with hands-on tools in a busy shop setting
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Reliable attendance for the full-time, on-site Monday–Friday schedule
- A safety-first mindset and a strong commitment to teamwork
- Eligibility to work full-time in the United States
