About the Role
As a Fraud Analyst working onsite in San Francisco through Robert Half, you will play a central part in safeguarding our client's transactions and systems against fraudulent activity. This contract position centers on uncovering suspicious behavior, conducting thorough investigations, and applying modern fraud detection technology alongside data analysis to keep financial and operational risk in check.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine transactional data to surface anomalies, irregular patterns, and potential indicators of fraud.
- Investigate flagged cases end to end, documenting findings and recommending appropriate action.
- Apply advanced fraud detection tools and analytics to reduce exposure across transactions and platforms.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen controls and respond quickly to emerging threats.
- Support ongoing efforts to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud risk throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in fraud analysis, risk mitigation, or a closely related investigative discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of transactional data.
- Familiarity with fraud detection software, monitoring systems, and data analysis techniques.
- Sharp attention to detail and sound judgment when assessing potential fraudulent activity.
- Availability to work onsite in San Francisco for the duration of this full-time contract engagement.
