Maintenance-Recreation Center (Part Time)

The Municipality of Mt. Lebanon, PA is hiring a part-time Maintenance worker for its Recreation Center in the South Hills of Allegheny County, an ideal opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping community spaces clean, safe, and welcoming.

About the Role

As a Maintenance team member at the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center, you will help ensure that one of the South Hills' most-used community facilities stays in excellent condition for residents of all ages. This part-time position is well suited to dependable, hands-on individuals who enjoy supporting recreation programs and public spaces in Allegheny County.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine upkeep and general maintenance throughout the Recreation Center facility and grounds.
• Support a clean, safe, and orderly environment for visitors, program participants, and staff.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and care of recreation spaces and equipment as needed.
• Follow all municipal safety standards while working in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Reliable, detail-oriented work ethic with the ability to handle physical maintenance tasks.
• Comfort working directly within a public recreation environment that serves minors.
• Willingness to complete required pre-employment clearances before the first day of work.

Required Clearances

Please read carefully: under Pennsylvania state law, every position that works directly with minors must obtain three background clearances before starting. Allow approximately four to six weeks to complete this process. If you remain employed for at least one month, Mt. Lebanon will reimburse the $60.25 cost of the clearances obtained for your work with us.
