Curana Health, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, board-certified Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric for a part-time opportunity in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk County, helping bring high-quality mental health care directly to older adults in senior living and skilled nursing settings.

About the Role

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with Curana Health, you will deliver on-site behavioral and mental health services to residents across senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities in the Cedar Falls area. This part-time role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about geriatric psychiatry and wants to make a measurable difference in the lives of seniors through a value-based, patient-centered model of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions in older adult residents.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including medication management and ongoing monitoring.
• Collaborate with primary care teams, facility staff, and families to coordinate whole-person care.
• Document clinical encounters accurately and in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Support Curana Health's value-based care approach to improve resident outcomes and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure with psychiatric certification (PMHNP) and the ability to practice in Iowa.
• Clinical experience in psychiatric or behavioral health, with a strong preference for geriatric populations.
• Comfort providing on-site care within senior living or skilled nursing environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.
• A genuine commitment to the health, dignity, and well-being of older adults.
