About the Role

As an Engineer III - Gas RCA, you will support Puget Sound Energy's gas operations through detailed root cause analysis, helping ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on gas system events to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
• Apply engineering principles to evaluate operational performance and recommend practical improvements.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Operations team to advance safety and reliability across gas infrastructure.
• Document findings, prepare technical reports, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that align with PSE's energy efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Engineering background suited to a mid-to-senior Engineer III level, ideally with gas or utility experience.
• Working knowledge of root cause analysis methods and investigative problem-solving.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication abilities.
• Capacity to work effectively within a collaborative operations environment.
• Availability to work on-site in Bothell, King County (this is not a remote position).
