Speechify is seeking a Tech Lead, Android Core Product in Beijing, China to help support the growth of its Android app and work on new projects. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with experience building great user experiences and has strong technical skills.
Requirements
- Owning major features and working closely with the design team
- Shaping the future of the Android team
- Maintaining and improving reliability metrics
- Participating in discussions across teams
- Reviewing pull requests and supporting teammates
- Handling critical issues and unexpected challenges
- Taking ownership of feature releases and providing nightly builds
- Experience with Android components, Kotlin, and related technologies
- Product design intuition and user empathy
- Understanding of tests and how to approach writing tests
- Self-drive to improve the app and codebase
- Excellent communication skills and user-oriented problem-solving approach
